VIMLA BHANDARI___A Personage of Letters & Politics

Smt. vimla Bhandari is a wide-spread name among the Literary persons of Hindi and Rajsthani, in Rajsthan and other states. Recently she has been honoured in the field of Child Literature. Within a very short period she  has  achieved  her name and  fame in Literature. Her first unpublished book's manuscript named Prena Dayak Bal Kahaniyan, was awarded by Rajasthan Sahitya Academy Udaipur in 1996. Since then her toil of writing  of stories,  novels, child literature based on various problems concerning to dowry System, Bhrun Hatiya,Bribe,  Women   exploitation etc.She has also   Composed many   poems,stories, poems   and other articles  have  been published  in periodicals  and papers .
She  is a  diligent  house wife,Who  furnishes  her domestic  duties   success fully and also works in the world   of  letters she  is  the first   lady   who   widened    the  name  of a  Thikana   ( dukedom) named   SALUMBER in the Prominent State(Riyasat) Udaipur Mewar, famous For  Maharana Pratap and Mira      Bai, the saint, Who is Honourably read in the world, by publising  a research named Salumber ka  ithas
in Hindi, it discloses many unknown facts in the history of salumber Thikana and state Udaipur Mewar. So Smt Vimla Bhandari proved herself a  prominent Historian along with a man of letters.
This book has also been translated in English by Nandlal  Parasramani , and it is awaiting to be published.
Salumber is also known due to an extraordinary precedent of renuciation of teenager , Hadi Rani, Who has presented  her own head cut off as an emblem of her chastity and piety before her husband, who was  sure he would sacrifice his life for honour and a dedicated   duty.  It is matchless heroic venture , adopted by a neogamist lady ere her husband's demise . This  occurance has been published in Smt Bhandari  s books ,Maa Tujhe Salam ( Hindi ) sata Ri sainani (Rajasthani ) and Nandlal Parasramani  has translated this play in English :It is in Press. Her more than fifteen books including play , poems ,novel , History,   stories have been published and yet Same are waiting  to be published .
Besides, Smt. Bhandari is a successful politician . She won election, two times as a concellor of  uncipality Salumber . She worked honestely and her valuable advices were honoured in the meetings .She has recently won the member ship in Zila parishad Udaipur District . She devotes her self in public service.
In all these grounds, her husband Shri Jagdish bhandari, a zealous businessman encourages her to lead such a life for welfare of the exploited and trodden ones. No doubt a tremendous victory is awating for her to conquer the post on the highest peak of literature and politics.
